Garret Ambrosio is the firm’s information technology manager. He is a is a seasoned law firm IT professional with a wide breadth of experience in hardware, software, vendor selection and management, and the like. He manages a full enterprise server room from server builds (HP), WAN technologies, and solutions, and provides desktop and end user support efficiently with superb customer service delivery.
Prior to joining the firm, Garret was the sole IT professional for a major international corporate law firm, overseeing its San Francisco, Sacramento, and Palo Alto offices comprising 90 people. He used his extensive experience to build trial rooms—including full infrastructure with short lead time—and set up and tested equipment in courtrooms.
Garret has an impressive record of working in other varied law firm situations. As the sole IT analyst for 90 people at one location, he set up trials in a manner that effectively brought the firm’s IT resources to a remote location. At another, he supported over 125 people, at which he set up remote trial rooms, implemented hardware, initiated conference upgrades, and managed the mobile device fleet of over 3,000 devices. He has supervised PC technicians, served as firm hardware lead, built out server rooms, and managed disaster recovery sites.
Garret has provided successful IT support in two high profile situations: preparation for the Congressional hearings regarding Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg and guidance to attorneys in U.S. v. Elizabeth Holmes, which involves allegations of a multi-million-dollar scheme to defraud investors and a separate scheme to defraud doctors and patients. In a major patent case, he also organized a five-day summit of over 20 defense counsel law firms, each with different technologies for video conferencing.
Garret is a member of the International Legal Technology Association, a robust network he regularly taps to stay current and connected in the IT field. He volunteers for Children’s Liturgy of the Word, the San Francisco Food Bank, and Dress for Success San Francisco.
