Joshua Gutierrez

Joshua Gutierrez has paralegal experience honed from a variety of legal positions, which dealt with teamwork, case management, and trial litigation—ranging from process serving, legal assistance/discovery clerking, and project management. He has comprehensive experience supporting teams in mass tort, complex trial litigation, personal injury, workers’ compensation, and employment and labor law.

Joshua loves the legal profession because of the interesting matters that he works on, the amazing people that he gets to meet, and the opportunity to improve the lives of people whose economic well-being has been impacted. He wants everyone to have access to the resources and opportunities that allow them to have successful, fulfilling lives.

Joshua joined the firm in 2026 from a legal secretary/paralegal position at a San Francisco-based employment litigation firm where he performed with distinction on tasks ranging from discovery to trial preparation. He supported two partners and four attorneys, and supervised more than 250 cases. Before that, he was a project assistant and legal assistant/discovery clerk for two Los Angeles-based firms.

Joshua has worked with the American Civil Liberties Union and Southern Poverty Law Center to represent individuals in Louisiana who suffered from police brutality and police misconduct. He worked with both civil rights organizations to provide legal assistance by reviewing evidence, preparing summaries of his findings, and presenting his research to  assist with pre-strategy planning.
