William Kalema joined the firm’s New York City office in 2026. He focuses his practice on antitrust and consumer protection class actions. He brings an unwavering commitment to obtaining meaningful relief for clients harmed by unlawful corporate conduct.
Prior to joining the firm, William practiced for seven years with Cohen & Gresser LLP, where he accumulated broad litigation experience in complex commercial matters, antitrust, contracts, torts, and white-collar investigations. He started his legal career as a litigation associate at Latham & Watkins LLP in New York. In his pro bono practice, he has represented clients in immigration matters and obtained asylum for clients from Sudan, El Salvador, and The Gambia.
After college, William worked as an analyst at Pan African Capital Group, LLC (Washington, D.C.), which bridges the gap between international finance and promising enterprises in emerging and frontier markets in Africa.
While in law school, William was features editor of the Yale Journal of International Law and received the Kirby Simon Fellowship in Human Rights. Prior to law school, he attended the University of Cambridge, King’s College, on a UK Fulbright Scholarship.

William volunteers with Camp COPE, a free bereavement camp for children ages 7 to 17 who are grieving the death of a significant person in their lives.
